• Littoral2010 - London 21-23 September 2010 "Adapting to global change at the coast: Leadership, Innovation, and Investment "
  Littoral 2010 this year will be held in London from 21 to 23 of September 2010. The international conference is organized by CoastNet, Eurocoast and EUCC, and it will be held at the Royal Geographical Society, London.

• The Venice Platform at the European Maritime Day 2010
  The 3rd edition of the European Maritime Day Stakeholder Conference has been organised by the European Commission and hosted by the Spanish Presidency of the European Union and the Government of the Principality of Asturias in Gijòn, Spain 19-21 May.
  The next European Maritime Day will be in Poland, in the city of Gdansk.

  Within the Conference, a workshop session has been entirely dedicated to the Venice Platform: "Venice Platform Conference: Contributions to a European Maritime Platform". This workshop has fleshed out maritime stakeholders new ideas for future work under the Integrated Maritime Policy with sustainability as its focus.

• Hearing with the Commissioner
  The new European Commissioner for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Ms. Maria Damanaki, will hold a hearing on the future directions of the Integrated Maritime Policy (IMP).
  Each "pillar" of the Stakeholder Platform (science, industry, environmental NGOs, regional public authorities and users of the sea) has been represented during the hearing.
